After four long years Stephanie and I concluded a chapter in our lives that we begin together shortly after we started dating.  Saturday, May 16 we officially became doctors and received our M.D.  It was somewhat of a surreal moment that still hasn't quite set in.  We had the opportunity to see friends that we hadn't seen in two years and the realization of saying goodbye to friends we may never see again.  Thanks to all of our wonderful classmates and the memories that we shared.

It was a very bittersweet moment leaving Lubbock for the last time. I have lived there the past eight years, four of which with my lovely wife, and have accumulated numerous fond memories. Yet, we are excited about moving to Memphis and the future it holds. We made the rounds in Lubbock seeing and doing all of our lasts. Our last time in the Health Science Center, our last time to eat at Stella's, our last time to drink Sugar Brown's coffee, and our last time to eat at Cafe J (the place of our first date and engagement)... at least for now.

Hey guys! Apparently I've been really bad about reading blogs this summer. Reading this makes me want to cry. I am so proud of you two. You've shown so many people how to have a strong Godly marriage through med school and come out on the other side with a desire for your spouse amongst all the chaos med school brings! The pic of y'all in your robes is amazing. Steph-you seriously look like Reese Witherspoon at the end of Legally Blonde when they are graduating...only w/ brown hair. I love you both. I pray that God will reign in your hearts & minds. That His love will pour out from you both to one another & those you work with daily. Stay in the Word. Seek Truth together. Be ambassadors! Thank you again for taking time to see us right before y'all left. That was such a blessing. Joy & Peace, Leah
